WELCOME SPEECH

Welcome to Korea-Indonesia Offshore Research Cooperation Center (KIORCC)’s website. KIORCC is an Intergovernmental Organization (IGO) established to fulfill and implement cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Indonesia. KIORCC promotes G2G and B2B ‘s mutual benefit cooperation in the Offshore, Maritime, Fisheries, and Energy Sectors.

Since its establishment in 2019, KIORCC is assisting in the implementation of the 1st pilot decommissioning project which has been studied since 2014. The support is evident in the signing of the MOU between the Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea on Maritime Cooperation in the Field of Offshore Plant Service Industry, signed in Jakarta on 13 October 2021.

Aside from the pilot decommissioning project, KIORCC is helping various Korean companies to partner with Indonesian companies in the field of offshore energy, maritime, and fisheries. With  KIORCC’s continuous support, Korean companies have successfully joined several bids for the tenders in Indonesia.

We also keep doing studies for further development of offshore service industries such as partnering with the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries and Pertamina for feasibility studies of Pertamina’s unused platforms’ reutilization.

KIORCC aims to continuously provide support for both Korean and Indonesian companies to have good cooperation and to implement our studies into concrete collaboration projects between Korea and Indonesia.

Your continued support and encouragement will help us grow and deliver our purposes in promoting mutual benefit cooperation in the Offshore, Maritime, Fisheries, and Energy Sectors. Thank you.
